.This was an intro to Dr’s at the sports science institute.
We went to introduce Dr Durman to the meditation tool so he could recommend to his patients the concept of medatating by using the hand held labyrinth.
The concept is that he works with heart patients and needs to bring meditation into there dailey lives so they bring their energy systems down to ground themselves and their temperament .
The concept of meditating is a way of soothing your physical being and relaxing your mind.
The tool gives you this by running your fingers on the path and giving you a direction to follow while your eyes are shut and you have to trust the sense of touch.
Essentially I wanted to thank you for the loan of the Labyrinths. We tested their use on one individual, and found that they do induce the same effect that we see with meditation as far as heart rate variability goes. We could not see a difference between the two labyrinths (ie with and without the embedded cards).
I will be happy to recomend the labyrinth to the patients on our programmes who might choose that modality if they do not like the conventional meditation techniques. I will gladly point them in your direction or that of the wellness warehouse who sell them as I do not believe that we would sell the volumes that would warrant a retail stand.
