So what is a labyrinth?
Just as the spiral represents the infinite aspect of ourselves, look up at our galaxy, so does the labyrinth.
Looking at one, the first thing that strikes you is the beauty of the pattern. Based on sacred geometry, these patterns have been around since ancient times and are found in all the ancient cultures. Woven into story telling, myths and artworks, laid out as walking patterns on the floors of temples and coastlines, the labyrinth is dominant in our distant past.
It offers us a wordless space and subliminal message, talking directly to the infinite and wordlessness in us. Like a map, left by our ancient selves, to help us find our way back to our hearts and inner knowledge.
There is no right or wrong way to use a Labyrinth. The space is there to bring insight and balance to the user, clearing the way for flow, synchronicity and growth.
